Who We Are

Inland Northwest Business Alliance (INBA) is Spokane’s LGBTA Chamber of Commerce with members in Eastern Washington and North Idaho. INBA was established in 1994 with a charter group of 25 members as a 501(c) 6 non-profit organization to network and socialize in a safe environment.

Today INBA has grown to nearly 200 business members representing about 300 people, all of whom are LGBT or ally business owners, professionals and corporations that believe in our mission.

INBA members agree to abide by our Business Standards of Ethics and Conduct. Membership is open to all businesses, professionals and individuals who subscribe to the purposes of the alliance.

INBA

Create an economically robust and civically engaged community through the acceptance of diversity throughout our region.
Develop a prosperous business community by advocating LGBT and Ally business perspectives.
We respect and protect the confidentiality of our members with concerns that their professional careers might be jeopardized by being outed. Our membership list is printed in the INBA Business Directory – only those who place a business listing will be included in the INBA Business Directory. Mailing lists are available to INBA members for their own marketing and promotions for a fee. The mailing list are of INBA members who agree to be on the list.

  • Each Member will conduct business with honesty, integrity and fairness with respect to customers, clients and employees alike.

  • Each Member will be accessible and accountable to customers or clients and make every reasonable effort to act for the customer’s or client’s best interests and benefit.

  • Each Member will be responsible at all times for truthful and non-deceptive advertising and promotion regarding their business and its products or services.

  • Be appropriate. Keep the conversation polite, tactful and free of any profanity, threats, and negativity. Know that you are engaging in conversation with an LGBTA business community, so please respect the members of this community.

  • Be professional. Avoid soapboxes, spam, and unwelcome solicitations. This is a professional business chamber that expects the dialogue in its online communities to reflect a high standard.

  • Be relevant. It’s easy to wander off topic. Keep the conversation in line with the purpose of the organization: business-oriented, professional, and community-minded. Please use the “INBA Marketplace” Facebook group for your business announcements, offers, specials, events and other relevant information. The INBA Facebook page is for the purpose of sharing information between the chamber and its members and creating conversations around those topics.

  • Be authentic. We appreciate honesty and integrity. Do not misrepresent who you are or speak on the behalf of others unless you are authorized to do so. Avoid speculation.

  • Be open-minded. Our community is diverse, and so are our opinions and beliefs. Please respect the individuality of others in the community, our members, volunteers, board and staff. Allowing for the free exchange of ideas and discourse helps advance our society.

  • Posts, comments and user moderation. INBA reserves the right to moderate comments or ban users that violate any of the above criteria.

We network closely with our sister chambers in Seattle and Portland, the Greater Seattle Business Association (GSBA) and Portland Area Business Association (PABA) as well as other LGBT chambers at regional and national leadership conferences.  The chamber is also an affiliate chamber of National Gay and Lesbian Chamber of Commerce (NGLCC), and the Western Business Alliance, a network of LGBT Chambers from Alaska, Arizona, California, Hawaii, Nevada, Oregon, Washington and Vancouver, BC Canada.
