Spokane and INBA’s Pride celebration continues this week with a benefit performance at The Modern Theater, Wednesday June 17. All INBA members and guests are invited to attend the fundraiser that will benefit the INBA Outreach scholarship/internship program. The performance of Reasons To Be Happy will start at 7:30 pm with a pre-show reception of light hors d’ouveres and no-host bar at the theater. The theater is located at 174 S. Howard St. (the former Interplayer’s location).
The play was written by Neil Labute who was born in Detroit but raised in Spokane. The play is a hard-edged comedy that explores adult themes and relationships that are still very current today. The play does feature strong language and may not be suitable for children due to content, and course language. The play recently received a positive review from The Spokesman-Review
