From INBA Outreach Board President Betsy White,
“As Board President, I have several goals I am eager to accomplish. My first goal as president is to grow the Outreach board with more dedicated members. Another goal is to increase visibility in the community through outreach events and partnerships with local businesses.
With that increased visibility, the INBA Outreach board is excited to announce our new annual fundraising event. It is with great pleasure to reveal INBA Outreach is going to be bringing back Spokane’s LGBTQ film festival complete with a new name to be announced. For 2016, we are planning on a one-day festival and are looking forward to growing this event in years to come.”
Our hope is to fill the void left by the former GLBT film festival and turn this new event into the perfect annual fundraiser for INBA Outreach. We will begin by holding a naming contest for the public to contribute ideas; the details for this contest will be released early next week. The now-dissolved Spokane LGBT Film Festival Organization has donated $1,000 to INBA Outreach in support of this cause. Thanks to an additional $5,000 donation from STCU, planning for the Film Festival is well underway.
INBA Outreach Board is searching for individuals to comprise the Film Festival Committee. Calling all film buffs! This is your chance to get involved and spread your passion and knowledge of films, foreign or domestic, with Spokane’s LGBTA community.
If you or anyone you know are interested in contributing to the development of the 2016 Spokane LGBT Film Festival, email Sierra at staff@inbachamber.org to get involved.
