INBA at ValleyFest!

12065735_10153248922618510_6334064175701044865_nLast Saturday, volunteers connected with residents of Spokane Valley on behalf of Inland Northwest Business Alliance. Support for INBA was overwhelmingly positive as board members and volunteers passed out business directories and created over 700 “silly nametags.”

The positive sentiment from Spokane Valley residents is a welcome change from a more negative attitude towards the LGBT community’s presence during ValleyFest’s early years. OutSpokane and PFLAG have been attending ValleyFest or many years, while this marks INBA’s second appearance at the massive community event.

12063406_10153249046033510_3668813594527386951_nTeenagers and kids loved INBA’s “silly name wheel,” with ridiculous name combinations including a “Miss Glittery Kitty.” Sierra Vanderhoogt brought 550 nametags, and ended up using rainbow duct tape for the remainder of the day.

Thank you to our volunteers: Christine Franklin, Alicia Levy, Lance Kissler, Marvo Reguindin, Brandon Rapez-Betty, Betsy White, Katy Durning, and Sierra Vanderhoogt.
