INBA member, OutSmart Office Solutions, gives back through chamber program
Outsmart2
George Pieper and Dawn Ackerman receive the 2012 NGLCC Supplier of the Year Award.

Outsmart Office Solutions is an INBA member based out of Seattle and San Francisco offering discounts to INBA members who purchase through their website. Company owners George Pieper, owned Performance Brand office furniture company in Seattle, and Dawn Ackerman, owned EcoSmart Toner in Los Angeles. The two decided to combine their businesses and became the first and only LGBT Tier One supplier through Office Depot/Max’s supplier diversity program. As a certified Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender Business Enterprise (LGBTBE) the business was awarded NGLCC’s Supplier of the year in 2012.

Most Office Depot purchasing programs give members a discount and do not give any residual back to the chamber. The discounted items are often those purchased by school teachers and items such as crayons are not everyday supplies a business would use.

With that in mind, Outsmart worked with Office Depot/Max and identified over 9,000 items most used by small businesses including furniture and technology. The list also features items from a certified small, woman & LGBT owned business. Their program offers up to a 15% discount on purchases through their website and every purchase from an INBA member’s account will give 3% rebate back to INBA. Outsmart also maintains their own brand of EcoSmart Toner™ Cartridges with compatibles for their HP, Lexmark or Brother printers, of which INBA will receive 5% back. Members will also get up to a 40% off list price on Performance Brand furniture (based on volume).
