"Paint. Drink. Have Fun." - Pinot's Palette - Member Spotlight

Jackie Casey, owner of Pinot’s Palette in Spokane, was born and raised in Montana, and absolutely loves the Northwest. After graduating college, she lived in Oklahoma for a short while but knew she wanted to move back to the Northwest, and Spokane seemed to be the perfect fit. “I’ve lived in the Inland Northwest for two years now, and have not looked back” In those two years, Casey has brought the ‘paint and sip’ concept to reality.Pinot's palette

Pinot’s Palette teaches painting classes and has a bar featuring local wine and beer so you can come “Paint. Drink. Have Fun.” “Our studio has such a positive atmosphere and it is such a blessing to be able to put a smile on people’s faces every day,” says Jackie. “A lot of what we do involves empowering people; it is so fun to see people do something they never thought they could do.”

Owning her own business is something Jackie didn’t exactly think she would do. After graduating from Montana State University in 2010 with a degree in elementary education, Jackie still entertained the idea of being a first-grade teacher. As soon as she was introduced to the idea of paint & sip, and Pinot’s Palette franchise, her goals shifted. “So much of running a business was completely new and foreign to me but I am the type of person who learns by doing, and my passion for running this business has turned me into a fast learner. I am so lucky to say that I “sell fun” for a living!”

Not only does she sell fun for a living, Jackie fully embraces the Northwest lifestyle, having fun outside any chance she can get. She lives with her partner Jeff and their ‘fur baby’, a goofy Golden Retriever namedNalah. Jackie loves being outside– snowboarding, hiking, boating, wakeboarding, etc.but at the end of a long day she is happy to curl up on the couch at the end of a long day with a glass of wine, her dog, and a movie.

Although her business is a lot of fun, it is also a lot of work, but Jackie says it’s all worth it. “I absolutely love being my own boss and being able to make a difference in our community. We are able to hold fundraisers and donate gift baskets to causes that directly help people in our community.”

Pinot’s Palette strives to be a carefree, open, and accepting place with a fun atmosphere. Jackie’s goal is for everyone to feel welcome and most of all, “have fun!”

Jackie hopes to get a Coeur d’Alene location launched in the next couple of months with a third studio as a possibility in the next year. “We hope to continue putting smiles on peoples’ faces for the next ten years!”
