Spokane AIDS Network organized an End AIDS Washington walk through Riverfront Park, on Saturday, September 26th. According to Spokane AIDS Network, “there are 12,000 people in our state living with HIV and AIDS. And over 500 new infections each year.”
The goal of the walk was to raise money for research into ending AIDS in Washington State, and they were more than successful. According to Kyle Richardson, Prevention Coordinator at SAN, they are still totaling up the amount raised, but it is over $10,000.
Contributing to this number, INBA put together a team of 11 participants and raised $500 towards their goal. Thank you to everyone that showed up to support Spokane AIDS Network, and thank you to SAN for being a great member of INBA!
