In January 2015, the first issue of The Black Lens: News from a Different Perspective hit the stands. While watching coverage of a local news story on television, Sandra Williams wondered how the story would look if it had been told by a black journalist.
The Spokesman-Review has published a fantastic article about Sandra and The Black Lens. INBA is proud to call the publication a member, and will be featuring more Black Lens articles in our weekly news to further our commitment of diversity and help Sandra’s commitment to representing the voice of the black community, and to shine a spotlight on more aspects of Spokane’s diverse population.
Our members receive special discounts on INBA and other community events, as well as member-to-member discounts on products and services.
